The past twenty years has been filled with great progress in the world of puppy training. With a number of well known dog training experts teaching us that puppies undergo critical learning stages throughout their puppy-hoods, most puppy trainers realize the importance of training puppies before problems start. Where once people believed that it was impossible to train a young puppy, it is now accepted that Puppy Kindergarten is more than helpful, it’s essential. 

Sadly, there are two great problems that confront most responsible puppy owners when they consider training their puppy. The first has to do with vaccinations. Conventional vaccine protocols are designed to give multiple vaccinations to puppies a few weeks apart. Most people and many veterinarians believe that more than one vaccine is needed to prime a puppy’s immune system. The problem with Kindergarten Puppy Training Classes is that puppies are exposed to strange dogs and environments before they have received adequate vaccinations, as the result millions of puppies become ill as the direct result of having been exposed to parasites and viruses that they picked up in a puppy training class.

The other problem with early puppy training is that young dogs are often traumatized by larger, poorly behaved dogs, and when a classroom environment is used to group dogs together there is a good chance that many of these dogs will threaten your puppy.

This is not to suggest that puppy training classes should be altogether avoided, respected dog trainers like Ian Dunbar, Gillian Ridgeway and Norma Jeanne Laurette have a long track record of providing the public with quality training classes.

However, not everyone is lucky enough to discover trainers who are studious enough to keep the classroom environment safe, and no matter how responsible any given trainer may be, if your puppy is not vaccinated and you expose it to strange dogs, your puppy is at risk.
